Humpback Calf Announcement

Humpback Calf Announcement

Well…

We are sure a Humpback calf has been born some where.

One year ago to the day, we had this happen:“We have just had reports of 2 Adult Humpback Whale inside Jervis Bay off Callala Beach WITH A NEWBORN CALF!

Our Captain Tim, has seen many whales in his time but never has he seen one this tiny! He believes the Calf has been born in the bay during the last day or so.

Explorer is also reporting many breaching whales at the entrance to the Jervis Bay!

A day this extraordinary does not happen too often!”

We wonder how this sweet baby fared..
Hopefully we can meet again soon!

"I really respect that the whale was more important than us"

Arrived just in time from our overnight stay in Canberra to go on the cruise. We got to see two whales swimming and breaching. Was a spectacular sight. The operators stayed what I though was a decent distance from the whales and when they had gone into the bay and another operator went in further than we did our guy decided that we would move away to give the whales space to get out of the bay. I really respect that the whale was more important that us . Well done
