What to do in Jervis Bay When It’s raining!

So you’ve come away on holidays to Jervis Bay, and instead of bright sun and white sand, it’s soggy sand and stormy clouds! Never fear; Jervis Bay is spectacular in all weather conditions! We’ve compiled a list of fun things to do here when the clouds come to stay, so that you’re not stuck in your hotel binge-watching Netflix while adventure awaits outside!

1. Come for a Dolphin/Whale Cruise with Dolphin Watch Cruises

We couldn’t start our list without this one! All of our resident Jervis Bay dolphins and whales are 100% waterproof, and all our boats are sheltered from the raindrops! When it’s not a perfect beach day, come for a trip with us to see the local marine mammal wildlife. Rain and clouds have never stopped a dolphin or whale cruise here in the Jervis Bay.

2. Rock Climbing with Indoor Climb South Coast

Indoor Climb South Coast is one of the newest additions here in terms to fun stuff to do here in Jervis Bay. When the weather closes in and the kids are climbing the walls of the Air b’n’b, get them in here to climb some walls designed for it instead!

3. Nerd-out at the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum and Gallery

This place really is a hidden gem. It has world-class collections, stunning artworks, and the only surviving Lady Class Sydney Harbour ferry, built here in Huskisson, and now fully preserved and able to be explored indoors! Step back in time and learn more about this incredible place. Families love the JBMM too, especially seeing as it’s situated on the shores of the bay, with fish to feed and a boardwalk through the mangroves to explore (BYO umbrella for this bit!). It’s a great place to spend a few educational hours.

4. Sample some local delights at Jervis Bay Brewing Co.

We love these guys. Family friendly with a kids playground, pet friendly, eco-friendly AND grown-up friendly, with their award-winning range of locally brewed craft beers, these guys are a true local favourite. Plenty of undercover areas for rainy afternoon, in wet weather you can’t find a better place to wet your whistle!

5. Check out a flick at the Huskisson Pictures!

They don’t make ’em like this any more folks! This is truly the cutest little cinema that you’ll ever find. The owners often offering you a cuppa as you enter, cosy seats and an authentic local feel make this venue an experience in itself before the movie even starts to roll! A rainy-day favourite for generations of Jervis Bay lovers!Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
